byOn my vacation, I took some time away from technology. I needed the break. Iβve been using technology less since I returned. Iβve been reading books. Once I have finished reading Kill Switch, the sequel to Kill Process, Iβm going to read Moneyball. Itβs been over a year since I read books th...
The major difference between the feeds of the Social Dilemma and your RSS feed is one is algorithmly designed to addict and manipulate, while the other is just a chronological list of stuff you're interested in reading. What I do in these cases is I give a quick glance at the unreads for something that really interests me and then mark everything as read.
My feed list is only about 10 - 15 items at the moment, it's quickly expanding as I find interesting people on the IndieWeb, so it may not be as viable of a strategy for a larger number of feeds.

Checkin to bills
Early birthday breakfast at Bill's in Shichirigahama. Going to Bill's is always a treat - not just because the food is great, but it's relaxing to be able to stare off and watch the surfers do their thing. Perhaps more relaxing was that we dropped off Leo at the grandparent's house so it was just the two of us.
We split the Full Aussie (free-range scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, roast tomato, herbed garlic mushrooms, pork and fennel sausage) and Ricotta hotcakes, fresh banana and honeycomb butter. No photos of view this time around as we were sat inside.

New running shoes came in today for my early birthday present. Also my first low-carbon footprint shoe at 9kg, about 3.5kg less than average and is offset by Allbirds themselves.
Hinomaru is a Japan exclusive color combo, so had to go for it.

A Day on the Rails in Shonan πππ
byHad a fun day out on the rails with Leo.
We rode my favorite route around the Shonan area: Subway to Totsuka -> Tokaido line to Ofuna -> Monorail to Enoshima -> Enoden to Fujisawa -> Odakyu to Shonandai -> Subway to home.
